Today I started the second short story series. How did the first one go?

On August 4th, I uploaded volume one of my first erotic short story series to Amazon.

Seventeen days later, I had written and published all six volumes of the series. Each book had a volume of 5000 words. That equals 33 Kindle Unlimited pages.

So whenever someone completes one of my books via Kindle Unlimited, I currently get about nine Eurocents in Germany. If someone buys a book for 2,99 Euro, I earn 1,98 €.

To earn as much with KIndle unlimited as by selling a book, 22 readers must read a book via KIndle unlimited.

That not only seems to be little; it really is tiny.

Why do I still leave my books in KIndle unlimited?

The reason is as simple as it is compelling: Every borrowing process is immediately rated as a regular sale for the ranking. So KIndle Unlimited helps the books to rise in the ranking, allowing more readers to see them. This not only increases the chance of further borrowings but above all of sales.

Kindle Unlimited customers would never buy my books at full price anyway, but they can make the books visible to all other…
